The market town of Marazion is one of the oldest towns in the UK, it was first incorporated by Henry III in 1257! The town is surrounded by mines and for many centuries copper and tin were exported from Marazion and St Michaels Mount by local traders. Explore a medieval castle - St Michaels Mount is situated 100 metres off the coast of Marazion, you will need to time the tide just right to be able to access the footpath that leads to the island were the castle sits. Once the tide comes in the only way to get to and from the castle is by boat (But we think this is rather fun!). What is Marazion famous for...St Michaels Mount
Easily one of the best things to do in Marazion, a medieval castle rich in history that sits on an island off the east coast of Cornwall. There is a man-made causeway leading from the town to the island, but you must time the tides right as it can get completely submerged by waters leaving the only access to and from the island by boat!
